New bakery coming to downtown GF

Dakota Harvest Bakers is a new bakery that should be opening at 6 South Third Street in downtown Grand Forks sometime this coming spring. They are currently applying for a renaissance grant. The city paperwork describes it as an "artisan bakery and cafe." Sounds like the kind of business we could use more of downtown.

Since nobody else has ever commented, I figured I'd do so.

Thanks for having one of the few useful blogs on the internet. We're looking at moving to the Grand Forks area (one of these days) and reading local stuff is great, especially since the local papers tend to suck.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I think it is so much fun to put something out there and have people read it. However, I have been VERY lazy lately with this blog. I've been busy preparing for finals at UND and the pre-Christmas season tends to be highly hectic at my house. Next week, I'll be done with finals and I should be pretty much done with Christmas preparations so I will hopefully get back to posting some stuff on here. Thanks again for reading Grand Forks Life! I hope my news and views are interesting for someone thinking about coming to GF...

Hey, no problem. I've found that it's pretty informative.

We won't complain if you add some random (and current) photos to future posts either! ;)

I want to add more photos too. However, I'm too lazy to actually get out there with a camera and take a picture. Also, I haven't quite figured one thing out...is it OK to use copyrighted pics in a blog? Other people seem to do it all the time...

as long as you include a reciprocal link to the author/owner of the original photo, you should be alright.

I went to this bakery a week ago and it was VERY good. Expensive (which is kid of a good thing since otherwise I would buy way too much and then eat way too much). I highly recommend it. The coffee was very good as well and may get me to regard The Coffee Co on Columbia Rd as 2nd best!
