How many humans is that?
Well I would say about 5,000. They ran out of shirts. We were given a green one at Univ Ave and then a gray one to form UND. Great shirts from Barnes and Noble, with their little ad on back. VIP's in front, with students, staff, faculty, and alumni bringing up the rear. greenglass4.
No way is that picture of 5,000 people. Closer to 500.
Plenty more than 500... I count ~40 or so just in the first row.

Dale, it really is in the 5,000 range. People are packed together tightly, and due to the angle, you can't really get a good perspective on just how far people extend back.
Which one of you guys was flipping the bird on the photo on the front of the Herald today?!
It was just short of the desired 5,000 students, staff, and faculty. A total of 5,000 shirts were printed up in either gray, green, or orange. Most of the gray shirts were worn by the UND Marching Band, and then used to provide direction for everyone else to fill in and around.
