Lacey's last day
As of today, Lacey Crisp is no longer a part of WDAZ. I, for one, am going to miss that girl. Now that she's no longer with the blog-hating WDAZ, Lacey can post on here if she wants to. Good luck in Appleton, Lacey!
Yes, it is. Grand Forks isn't really a market. We're considered the Fargo market...which means market size 116 DMA. Green Bay is market size 69. (Sioux Falls is 114....Minneapolis is 14 to put things into perspective.)
WDAZ ABC 8 is the only local station in Grand Forks, and even that sometimes feeds off WDAY ABC 6 in Fargo according to Wikipedia. The rest of the stations are from Fargo (KXJB CBS, KVLY NBC) or are just satellite feeds of Fargo stations (Prairie Public PBS is out of Fargo, KBRR Fox 10 is from KVRR 15 in Fargo), etc.
They should have never shut down KXJC. Sure it looked like they only had one reporter stuck in a basement, but they should have invested more in it and give them a full news team like 'DAZ. WDAZ's weather is recorded from WDAY in Fargo if you didn't know that either.
Minot (which is a part of the Bismarck market) has 2 local news stations and they're smaller than GF.
CBS and NBC news out of Fargo are one and the same. Owned by the same company, same newscasters and they're even showing the same weekend broadcast now.
How can yo tell if 'DAZ has "hotties" since they have been having so many technical difficulties lately. It was off the air again when I was getting ready for work this morning.

Just out of curiosity:
ReplyDeleteIs Appleton considered a move up on the career ladder?
