It was in such bad shape... the only fountian on campus and they couldnt even make water fall off the edge all the way arround. It was always full of green gook and such... it was a sad site... i cant wait to see the finished product... it will make that nice area down there not look..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17454417.post-1152168666026672422006-07-06T01:51:00.000-05:002006-07-06T01:51:00.000-05:00Leave it to a rabid NDSU fan to try to sour a nice...Leave it to a rabid NDSU fan to try to sour a nice story about UND. "Sometime next spring" seems to be the best answer right now. I suppose as work gets underway, it will start to become clearer just how long the project will take.

BTW, John Colle Rogers sent me an email the other day saying that the fountain is now in California. They have no room for expansion at their current store, so I'm guessing they will probably build a totally new much bigger building farther south.

Back to the fountain...GrandForksGuyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02315228631948799533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17454417.post-1151915019980750852006-07-03T03:23:00.000-05:002006-07-03T03:23:00.000-05:00I'm not sure how a thread about a historic fountai...I'm not sure how a thread about a historic fountain went down the Scheels/Cabelas road...

Oh well. The fountain is one of the most beautiful aspects of the campus. It's like a kinetic sculpture and seems to elicit a feeling of repose and serenity, especially in its location at the bend of the coulee.
